Personal Statement

My collegiate goal is to play soccer at a four-year College/University, while pursuing a degree in Neuroscience(s). On the field I am a very coachable player and a good teammate and leader.  I currently play center back, which is where I feel my strengths lie, but also have been utilized at every position on the field as my coaches see the need. I am flexible and willing to do whatever is needed to put my team in the best possible position. I have a strong work ethic and always do my best to recognize any weakness that I may have and do whatever it takes to overcome them.

Off the field and in school I am involved in many programs and advanced classes. I hold myself to a high academic standard and maintain a 4.07 GPA. I am a member of the National Honors Society and enjoy my work within the community.  I am also involved in a mentorship class that teaches middles schoolers lessons on various topics ranging from bullying, diversity, mental health, and more. I love being involved in our community and value the impact that I can have on others.  This past summer I worked as a soccer referee for our local recreational league and was a camp counselor for SCAMP (summer camp for learning and physically disabled young adults).  In my free time I enjoy reading and I am teaching myself to play guitar.
