Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Holly. I am currently 17 years old and a senior at Delton-Kellogg high school. I have been playing soccer for 13 years. I began playing soccer for AYSO teams at just 4 years old, but when I turned 9 years old I started playing for club teams. I first played for a club team through River Oaks, then I moved to Plainwell Force Elite when I was 13, and now I play for a Portage Lightning Premier 01. I played on the Varsity team for my high school for all three years. I have dreamed of playing collegiate soccer since I was a very young age and have consecutively trained for the past several years. I primarily play forward or attacking mid.

Away from soccer, I play on my high school's varsity basketball team. I also train and play indoor soccer during the winter season. I also am involved in many extracurricular activities. I am the President of the Executive Board for the Student Council. I am also a part of the Green Team, Interact, YLS (Youth Leadership Summit), YAC (Youth Advisory Council), and Y-Mentors. Along with sports and extracurricular activities, I have maintained high honors and have been inducted into the National Honor Society throughout my high school career because education has always been a priority in my life.

Soccer has taught me how to manage my time, stay determined, and to never settle. I put effort into everything and continue to strive for success. On top of education, sports, and extracurriculars, I make sure to help my family and friends with anything they need. I have always been known as a positive, outgoing and enthusiastic leader for all my peers.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
