I strive to succeed and always improve on all I do in life. Many people will tell you I am a very dedicated and passionate person who always perseveres. I started playing soccer in pre-school and early on discovered my dream was to be a goalkeeper. I began training with St. Louis Goalkeeping Academy in grade school. I took the advice of many and registered on two teams. One was the lowest team in my club and I played full time keeper for them so I could see a large volume of shots at each game. This is where my success with breakaway saves started. Then, I played on my dominant team where I only agreed to a 50/50 split between forward and goalkeeping so I could continue to develop solid foot skills. After a few years of training and games, I did make the transition to full time goalkeeper. I am a 2004 Goalkeeper who plays in 2003 National League Midwest Premier I, 2002 SYLSA Premier Bracket, and have been on the Varsity team at my high school since freshman year. My hard work is what has allowed me to make these accomplishments. I train several times per week with St. Louis Goalkeeping Academy as well as three times per week with my club. My work does not stop there as I feel it is crucial to perform daily fitness and strengthening as well as individual training at home.
Soccer is a major part of my life however there are a variety of other things that are also very important to me. These include my family, faith, education, and friends. I am active in a variety of clubs at my school as well as I play racquetball. I maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.993 and am a member of our school’s National Honor Society. Outside of school and soccer, I enjoy dog sitting, being a nanny, and working for my church’s athletic association. My goal is to play soccer in college while receiving a Health Sciences Undergraduate/Pre-Physical Therapy or Pre-Vet/Biology undergraduate degree. I have known for years that I will be following a career path of becoming a Physical Therapist or Veterinarian who focuses on orthopedic conditions/therapy for dogs. My countless hours of attending University camps and shadowing Veterinarians and Physical Therapists has confirmed that this is my dream.
I am eager to begin my next journey with playing College Soccer while completing my education to live out my aspiration.
“Be strong and courageous, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
