I want to play at the next level for basketball while also getting a degree in the Science or Law field. I want to make a difference in this world which is why I push myself to be the best version of myself that I can be. I am extremely hard working and persistent, which is most likely why I am able to get good grades as well as playing three sports and still managing to have time to spend with friends and family.
My name is Alexa Castro. I go to Dunellen High School, currently as a freshman and will be graduating in 2023. I start on our varsity soccer team and am looking forward to also playing basketball and softball later on in the year for our varsity teams as well. I have been playing soccer from a very young age because it is a part on my fathers hispanic culture. I started playing travel soccer with the Metuchen Strikers when I was 8 years old which is a flight one team. I had to play in Metuchen because there isn’t a travel or middle school team in Dunellen (where i live). The rest of the team was quick to accept me and make me feel comfortable. W always did very well in all of our years of playing together. This past year we went 20-1 for our fall and spring season. (losing only one game in the fall and going undefeated in the spring). We won the league championship at the end of the spring season also. I am so glad he introduced this wonderful sport that I love into my life, it has helped make me the person I am today and I would love to play at the next level. I will always push myself to be my best and give my all for my teammates.
