My name is Madeline Jacobs and I’m a 2024 athlete who attends Eastern Regional High School. I have been playing soccer since I was three years old, and my passion in life is to continue playing at the college level, because I love the sport. I am the captain of my club soccer team, SJEB FC. Girls ’05 NL. I earned MVP of my JV soccer team at Eastern Regional High School, my sophomore year. Along with these accomplishments, I am frequently asked to guest play with the 2003 and 2004 club teams. I am a strong left outside midfielder, and I am a versatile player. I have experience as an outside back as well. As a captain of my club team, I feel I need to stay positive and encourage my teammates to keep the hustle up, even when they feel discouraged.
I have several collegiate goals and aspirations. A goal of mine is to be able to continue to play at a competitive level in college. My coach on my club team has told me that I have a high soccer I.Q. and that I am easily coachable. From this, I am hoping to be recruited by a coach who will be straightforward and guide me through my soccer career. Some aspirations of mine include majoring in Nursing, while playing the sport that I love. Another aspiration would be to achieve a starting spot as an outside-left midfielder. I am a strong left outside midfielder, and I have experience as an outside back as well. I am a versatile player and feel I would be an asset to a college team.
I feel that I would be a good candidate for a women’s college team because I put my heart and soul into every practice and game. I guest play for as many teams as I can, to gain more experience and Improve my skills. I have an enormous passion for the sport and I would drop everything I am doing just to be able to play in a game. I am left footed, and I continue to grow on and off the field each day I train. In addition to my club and high school training, I train with Jaylyn Thompson, a Virginia Tech (alumni) soccer player and professional soccer player, two times a week to be quicker with the ball, improve and my skills and speed.
I am a kind hearted, passionate, determined and a hardworking 16 year old. I take honors classes, I have a high GPA, and I do extracurricular activities too. I love my family, I have a great personality, and I enjoy the outdoors. My goal is to major in Nursing, because I want to help people when they are unable to help themselves.
