My name is Megan Wiener and I started playing soccer when I was three but I didn't fall in love with the sport till 7th grade and since then I knew that I never wanted to stop. Soccer has been able to teach me so much more then just skills but also how to be compassionate and to be thankful that I have been able to do what I love. My high school girls soccer team was never that good, my freshman year we won one game and faced a lot of blowouts. However, my sophomore year we finally started playing as a team and we might not have won every game but we still were able to come together and it showed me that no matter what has happened in the past hard work goes a long way.
I have always put academics first and worked hard in the classroom since I was young to install the mindset that school comes first into myself so I would continue to do so throughout high school and even college. I have pushed myself academically so that I am able to get into a college that will help me to further my education and set me up for success farther down the road. I am not only looking to find a good fit for me athletically but just as much academically.
