Soccer to me isn't just about the game. The experiences this sport has brought upon my life have shaped every aspect of the way I am today. For as long as I can remember Sunday's were filled with 9am games , screaming parents that fill the sidelines and post-game orange slices. As I grew older the intensity and commitment of soccer grew immensely; it was a constant " GO GO GO '' mentality as every weekend I had a game, practice or tournament... sometimes even multiple a day. With this I had to learn a lot about time management and the hard work it took to compete at these levels as well as balance everything else. I continue to take that hard working mentality with everything I do and will continue to do so throughout my life. As I began playing school soccer at the Varsity level as a freshman , my comfort zone was completely rocked and the environment I knew was completely different. The social aspects, the level of play and the age difference all became huge changing points that I needed to adapt to . At this point in my life I began realizing how quickly your "norm" can change and how resilient you need to be to be successful in uncomfortable circumstances. Along with Varsity soccer, this past year I played and started on the Varsity Basketball team winning a section title as well as playing Varsity Softball all as a freshman. The ability to play multiple sports has helped shape my well rounded abilities and has made me a better player in all aspects. Aside from the importance of athletics and soccer in my life, academics also plays a huge part in what I do and at the end of the day takes priority over everything. I have a 97.3 GPA involving multiple AP and Honors courses. Maintaining a high GPA in excelled classes is extremely difficult and takes a lot of time management skills. Practicing 6-7 times a week , school for 6 hours and club games on the weekends doesn't leave a whole lot of time for studying or homework but I work really hard to take advantage of every chance I get. Getting a good education is my top priority and will continue wherever I choose to pursue my collegiate journey.
