My interest in soccer sparked when I was in seventh grade watching the school team play. Watching their foot skills and the agressiveness made me excited to try out for modified. I played on my school modified team for both my seventh and eighth grade years and started on varsity my freshman year. The varsity coach talked to me almost all my eighth grade year talking about my potential in soccer. He helped me with workouts all year round so that I would be ready for my first varsity season.
One thing about me is that i never give up. I work as hard as i possibly can both in school and on the field. My coaches for all my sports teams along with my teachers have commented on my work ethic and my ability to spread the mentality of working hard.
Soccer has taught me a lot in both physical and mental ways. Physically I have learned foot skills and strength. Mentally your mindset in anything really affects your performance. If your saying to yourself that you can't do it then you most likely will not be able to do it. This is why I try to keep a positive mindset. Soccer has taught me patience. I use the patience in all aspects of my life. I use it in school, work, family, and of course, the field.
My goals for the future would be to play soccer in college and major in athletic training. I would hope to learn from new experiences and apply my new knowledge to the field. I'm excited to see what my future holds.
