Personal Statement

From 7th grade through my current Junior year, my academic-athletic career has been amazing!  As a now 5’9 attacking midfielder/striker, I have been a starter at every level in high school and on my travel teams.  I have played almost every position as needed, defensive/attacking midfield in my earlier years, and moved to more offensive over the last couple years.  My coaches describe me clutch, extremely coachable, and an unselfish player who is very good at seeing the field and hitting the developing plays to produce great scoring opportunities for my teammates and myself. I strive to maintain good relationships with all my teammates.  I am an aggressive, focused player with a strong competitive attitude.  I have been frequently asked to guest play for older teams, both boys and girls and competitively edged out players at this level for playing time.  I also play basketball and tennis and have had the same successes as a varsity starter in these sports as well. I am a gamer in every sport I play.

Academically, I am a focused student with consistently good grades as reflected throughout high school.  I received the Presidential Academic Excellence award for 3 years of high honor roll in middle school and have continued that success throughout high school.  My parents push for the balance between school and sports and I recognize the importance and pride associated with both. I am looking for a college program that strongly supports it’s student athletes and promotes high academic success.  I am looking a school that offers quality programs at the right price.

I am a serious soccer player who wants to play competitively and immediately contribute as a Freshman, hopefully in the Northeast Region.  I cannot imagine not being on the field during a game and will work tirelessly to earn my spot.  I am a leader and like to bring out the best in my teammates.  I know how to talk and motivate players while on the field and have a knack for bringing out their potential.  I am capable and willing to play anywhere on the field to make my team better.
