I’ve been playing soccer since I was about 6 years old and it’s always been something I enjoy doing. Being a part of a team means a lot to me, especially making long lasting relationships with teammates. I proved to my coaches that I’m a good soccer player by working hard in practice and contributing in games which earned me a starting position on the field. I want to continue playing soccer in college not only because I believe I’ve improved tremendously as a player but because I still have some areas to improve in. Overall, soccer is something I’m not quite ready to give up, so I’d like to continue playing for as long as I can.
As much as I love sports, its importance does not come close to that of my performance in school as I value my academics very strongly in order to have a bright future ahead. With that in mind, I want to make sure I attend a selective school that balances both athletics and academics.
