My name is Addison Brookshire. I'm a Freshman at Hibriten High School. Along with playing soccer, I also play volleyball and swim for Hibriten. I feel that being a multi-sport athlete will make me a stronger recruit than those who only play soccer. By playing in a variety of sports and dealing with different pressure situations, this has made me mentally stronger. Also, I would consider myself a good candidate for any team, because I am very coachable and learn very quickly. I work hard not only to make myself better, but to better my team. I do this by encouraging my teammates in a positive way. I enjoy all sports, but soccer has became my favorite and I can see myself playing in college.
Academics are also a top priority. Not only am I a very good athlete, but I am an even better student, which I take great pride in. School comes first, I challenge myself by taking higher level classes. I am willing to put the work and effort into every class, I stride to do my best, but not afraid to ask questions. I am ranked #19 in my class and my goal is to get top 10 by graduation.
My collegiate goals are to play soccer at any division, while continuing to learn more in my academic field, forensic science. I have always been very interested by the different work settings and learning the truth behind each case. Anywhere from learning who did it, to why they did it, to even how they did it. It's always been a source of wonder and fascination for me to think about.
I would love to keep the dream of playing soccer in college, while learning about forensic science.
