Hello! Thank you for taking the time and looking at my page.
My story starts with playing soccer at the age of three for preschool, this is when I found my continuous love for the sport. I started playing recreationally for a few different teams through elementary school. I knew I wanted to belong to teams where girls shared the same passion for soccer that I have. Around this time I started playing for clubs in my area. I played as a starter in 6th grade for Stanley middle school and I played as a starter for the East Gaston girls soccer team both my freshman and sophomore year. Currently, I will play for the U18 Elite 64 team at Charlotte Soccer Academy in the fall and just wrapped up my Jr year with East Gaston as a starter. I will also participate in the NC Body Armor games, representing the West division this summer.
I have always been able to move around the field into positions that needed coverage, but my real talent lies in defense. Center back has been my position since I could step on the field. I also play OB and CDM. I helped my High School teammates bring in the title of Conference champs and 2nd round playoffs my freshman year, Conference champs and 3rd round playoffs my sophomore year, Conference champs and 2nd round playoffs Jr year. I was very honored to be given the individual awards of, All Conference Southern Piedmont 1A/2A and All Region Class 2A Region 10 in NC my sophmore and Jr year. I played as a starter on our U17 E64 team this season where we won the title of Southeast champs. I excel when my team needs a leader who can read the field and get her team as well as herself out of difficult situations. My goals are to always learn from my own mistakes, support my teammates on and off the field, and to always give 100% no matter the circumstances given.
While playing soccer I am employed as a Life guard and swim instructor at the YMCA. At East Gaston High school I am enrolled in the National Beta club and one of the top students for the 25' class, also being enrolled in the Health Science Academy taking the course Foundations of Health Care. My Jr year I took honors classes, AP English Language and Composition |||. Furthermore, I took the college classes ENGLISH 11 writing and inquiry, BIO 168 Anatomy and physiology |, BIO 169 Anatomy and physiology ||, and PSY 150 General Psychology. I also took AP US History my sophomore year. I am currently maintaining a GPA of 4.07 and taking online College summer classes, Art Appreciation and Intro to Communications. I like to play and try different sports. I participated on both the high school swim team and the local summer team my sophomore and Jr year. I was also on the volleyball team my sophomore year.
Soccer has always been a huge part of my life. Soccer has also been my happy place, I know no matter the day I can come to practice and always be excited to play. I always strive to be the best person and make good choices for my teammates, my coaches, family, friends and most importantly myself. I hopefully will earn the opportunity for soccer to be in my life after high school, my goal is to play for college.
