I would like to play for a great college team just like many of my friends, but the college is also very important to me for the degree I will receive and how that will affect me for life after soccer. I plan to attend graduate school right after I receive my bachelors degree. At this point I am not sure whether I want to pursue sports medicine or business.
No coach would ever regret choosing to have me on their team. I know I will make an impact as a player with whichever school I play. I have a strong work ethic and commitment to my team that is hard to beat and I always try to be a better player than I was yesterday. That hard work helped me become and All-State, All- Conference and All -Region player as a freshman. This past July (2019) I was named on the ECNL Mid-Atlantic All-Conference team after being selected for the ECNL conference selection program.
My mom defied all the odds growing up and became a successful woman in a male dominated business. She inspires me and is my role model. Playing soccer has both taught me and reinforced mom's words that self-confidence, hard work, being resilient and never giving up is what it takes to realize your dreams. Now with so much going on in the world, I find myself using what I learned on the field every day and that has made me a stronger person in general.
