Hello, my name is Journey Beverly and I am a senior at Overhills High School in Spring Lake, North Carolina. I am in search for a college that will fulfill my academic and athletic needs by being well rated in both areas. Typically, my starting position is center-back, but I can play left and right back as well as left and right wing. On my team, as I am flexible my in position (defense and midfield) my teammates rely on me to fill roles that are not being filled.
I have been playing soccer for the past 6 years. From middle school, to recreational and now high school soccer. I have learned dedication, respect and discipline throughout all of my teams.
As a student, I strive hard in order to push myself harder and further than the day before. I am a straight A student who has taken all honors classes throughout high school. In addition to these classes, I have taken Advanced Placement and Dual-Enrolled classes ( Central Carolina Community College).
As an athlete, I need to be in a healthy environment with my team. A group of driven women who are ready to work hard to improve. This is the type of environment I thrive in. I am a leader who is ready to take the lead but I also know when to step back to follow directions and listen.
My personal motto:
If it is below you to serve, It is far beyond your to ever lead!
