My lifelong goal has been to play soccer from the moment I began playing at age four. I have always known that I wanted to play soccer for as long as possible. It became a source of joy and identity when I found something I loved which could be a part of me throughout my life. Something I learned by being a female athlete is that other girls, even you teammates, are not always going to be uplifting. I have made it my standard to always encourage and support my teammates.
My freshmen year, our team made history by going to playoffs for the first time. Recently my sophomore year, we did it again and have left a mark on our school. Our culture as a team has impacted my life and made me a better athlete and teammate.
As a member of the leadership team this year, and a very involved student in community outreach, I have learned values such as being dedicated, staying focused on a goal, and trusting my teammates and coaches. I aspire to go to a college where I can continue to grow in an environment that uses these principles on and off the field. My hope is to be an encouraging leader who represents the team and school well at whichever school I decide to call home.
