My first year playing high school soccer, we went out to win the Junior ROPSSAA (Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association) division title. We tried to repeat it, in the second year but fell short, making it to the finals and, ending up as a Finalist. These two seasons were the highlights I've had during my high school soccer career. The competition at this level was challenging and fun.
Throughout my club team experiences, the most memorable was making it to the U-14 Outdoor Ontario Cup Semi-finals with my team. Losing on penalty kick was the most heartbreaking. However, this experience taught me that, there is so much I could improve on as an Athlete. This is when I really dedicated myself to wanting to improve as an athlete, and grew my ambition to become a College Student Athlete. I overcame the loss as an obstacle, and let it help me better myself.
I began playing soccer at a young age, and because of it, I learned the importance of teamwork, dedication, sacrifice and influence. In addition, I learned how to be extremely disciplined not only while playing but academically as well. It taught me to be more outgoing and extroverted yet reserved enough to be my own person. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me as an athlete and a student. I believe that I not only have the caliber to play for a college team, but have the personality and determination to make an immediate impact.
