My name is Kiana Salazar, I am a 5’1” attacking midfielder from Canada with a passion for soccer and my goal is to pursue my dream of playing soccer at a college level. When I first stepped on the soccer field as a little 5 year old girl, playing with mostly all boys and being one of the only two girls on the team, I wasn’t as strong and fast or talented as the boys around me but I wanted to be better! I have been working hard and continuously playing soccer for the past 10 years. I have not only grown as a person but also as a player. Starting in house league, moving into REP and making my way to CSL, I have only wanted to achieve more. From grade 5 to 8 I played and started on my elementary school team. I worked hard at every practice and tried my best at every game. Starting high school was a major step. It was a new school with new friends and a new team. I have been a part of my high school varsity team every year so far as a starter and I am also part of a club team in IModel U16 as a starter where I began as a right wing and have transitioned into an attacking midfielder. In addition I was awarded captain last season.
