Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Brooks and I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. As a passionate and dedicated athlete, soccer has always been more than just a sport to me. It's been a driving force in shaping my character, work ethic, and aspirations. Soccer brings to my life a sense of joy, challenge, and endless growth. Playing soccer has also provided life experiences which have taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and mental toughness—qualities that I believe are essential not only in soccer but also in life.

I currently play as a winger where my speed, agility and stamina allow me to maintain high energy levels throughout the game. I feel that ball control and first touch on the ball are a crucial part of the game and work to hone these skills and enhance my performance. I am adaptable and willing to play other positions where my skills will benefit the team. My accuracy in passing and shooting allow me to be a creative player that brings out the best in my teammates. When off the ball I find ways to support by covering players or looking for open spaces that will help my team. As a collaborative team player I feel it is important to build strong relationships with my teammates both on and off the field.

Off the field, my dedication to soccer has been mirrored in my academic pursuits and extracurricular activities. As a student-athlete, I've learned to balance the demands of training and competition with the rigours of an academic International Baccalaureate (IB) program. I maintain an honours level academic performance, earning recognition such as the Principals' Award. Whether it's in the classroom, the community, or on the soccer pitch, I approach every challenge with the same level of passion, determination, and commitment to success.

My goal is to continue my journey as a student-athlete where I am confident that I can contribute both athletically and academically. I am eager to join a team of like-minded individuals who share my passion for soccer and my dedication to personal and collective growth. I am confident that I can make a meaningful impact both on and off the soccer field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
