My name is Truly Martin. I am a class of 2022 forward and centerback from Portland, Oregon. My club team is Portland Thorns Academy ECRL 2003 and I play varsity women's soccer for Riverdale High School, where I am a captain.
My goal is to play collegiate soccer for a program with serious players and coaches and a hard-working but fun environment. I am an extremely hard worker on and off the field. As a player, I am versatile, vocal, skilled, and can impact the game. Putting in extra work is very important to me; I feel like working harder than everyone else will set me apart from the group. My two main positions are forward (left, center, and right) and centerback (both left and right). Although I am right foot dominant, I can use both my left and right feet to my advantage.
During 2019 and 2020, I was recovering from a torn ACL in my left knee. I was injured from March 2019 and got cleared in August 2020.
Outside of soccer, I am a fun-loving, outgoing person. Some of my other extracurriculars include peer tutoring, volunteering, and leadership club. I am a diligent student and strive for excellence in everything I do. Family and an overall family environment are both important to me.
