My name is Maria Reardon, and I am the youngest of three daughters in my family. Being the youngest, I have learned to be feisty and competitive. What I lack in size, I make up for in speed, strength, and competitiveness. I have a never die attitude that has led me to be successful in the sports I play as well as academics. I began to struggle academically in middle school and could not pinpoint why. I began to feel more anxious around my peers. My freshman year in high school, my grades were really suffering no matter how hard I worked. I was failing several classes. I pushed my parents to have me tested. I was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADD -- the inattentive type. I immediately received help and my grades began to turn around very quickly. I am now an A student.
I would love to have the opportunity to play on your team. I would bring to the team a desire to do my best always, on the field and in the classroom. I am a positive support for my team members and a leader. I like to go above and beyond by working on my skills even in the off season. I am a team player and will do whatever I need to also help my other teammates become better players. I am coach-able and respectful to all.
In college, I would like to attain my degree in Physical Therapy, working with athletes. I've had a passion for sports since the young age of three. I played multiple sports the entire time growing up. My dream has always been to play a sport in college while I earn my degree in a field that also involves athletics. I look forward to hearing from you.
