My name is Gavin Schaer, I am a senior at St. Helens High School. I want to go to college for a Major in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Business. I am a team captain for our wrestling team and I have been wrestling for eight years. In my free time, I volunteer as a coach to help our kids club become better wrestlers. I do this by showing moves, teaching proper technique, and I stay after practice for those who are willing to stay. I have gone to state three times in high school placing fifth at the most recent. The reason I would be great for your team is I work hard and always want to do extra skills and drills to perfect my personal performance. I put the maximum in everything I do and thrive to be the best I can be. I am all about communication and supporting my teammates while having a team so close we are like a family. I have a 3.28 GPA. I am graduating as an AVID student and have been in AVID since freshman year. I am taking dual credit classes including Calculus, Metals 4, Writing 121, and AP Chemistry. On top of being a full-time student-athlete, I also have a weekend job working eight hours a day at a plant nursery. These are all the reasons why you should choose me to be a part of your team.
