Lucy McGloshen '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucy McGloshen and I am currently a player for the U16 Hershey Elite FC 99 team, Pennsylvania ODP 99 Team and Varsity Hempfield High School Girls Soccer Team. My positions are Forward, Attacking Midfield and Outside Midfield.  

Throughout my playing career from my early days with Penn Legacy and the Harrisburg City Islanders Academy team to the Pennsylvania ODP Team and club team, I have approached every training session with a desire to improve and learn from my coaching staff and have proven to be extremely coachable.

I have an ideal combination of confidence, athleticism, and competitiveness that come together at each training session and during games. As a target striker, I have tremendous vision on the field constantly finding the ball at my feet, ready to turn and go to goal or laying the ball off to the attacking midfielders. I am technically and tactically sound, and use my speed and strength to score many goals for our team.

On and off the field, I lead by examples at practices/games and I look to make the players around me better.

My success with the Hershey Elite FC 99, Penn Legacy 99 and City Islanders Academy teams have not gone unnoticed, as I have been invited to the U.S. National Team Training Center regional player pool under Coach April Kater on many occasions.

As a player, I will continue to train and develop the necessary skills technically and tactically to succeed at the next level and beyond. I believe what sets me apart is my strong character and demeanor off the field.
