Hello, my name is Ava Trowbridge and I have been playing club soccer since 2018. I will be a 2024 Graduate of Northwood Academy. To me, the ability to play soccer is a gift not to be taken for granted! After missing my entire Sophomore year due to Long-Covid complications and not knowing if I would ever play soccer again, my dedication, determination, and love for the game have propelled me to make remarkable progress in a short amount of time. I have a track record of being promoted to the next level as I learn quickly and strongly feel I have significant growth in front of me as I can continue to learn and develop my skillsets.
I sought out coaches to attend clinics and camps and spend hours practicing on my own. Weight training and proper nutrition are key parts of my everyday lifestyle. I embrace every opportunity to learn from experienced players and coaches, absorbing their guidance and incorporating it into my game.
Off the field, I approach my academic pursuits with the same commitment to improvement. I maintain a strong work ethic, strive for academic excellence, and apply the same discipline and focus to my studies as I do my soccer training. I have learned to manage my time as I travel to practice at least eight hours each week while maintaining high honors academically. Balancing my academics with my athletic commitments has taught me valuable time management skills and instilled a sense of responsibility and accountability. I plan to use many of the lessons I learned to be an impactful teammate on and off the field, continue to grow as a person, and represent my University or College as an exceptional Student-athlete.
I am searching for a college program that embraces players who are willing to work hard, persevere, and demonstrate a genuine love for soccer. I am eager to find a team that values character, determination, and resilience, and that is committed to continuous growth and development of its players.
