My destiny to become a soccer goalie all started when I grew tired of selling cookies in Girl Scouts and wanted to kick a ball for KidsInc, a sports complex for kids that wish to play any sport. My mother immediately signed me up for the game, and ever since then I have been blocking shots for my team, no matter how hard or impossible it may have seemed. At first it seemed like child's-play, but then I realized that this was something I wanted to do in the future, whether it was for high school or even beyond. I began to practice my hardest, working with my mother to become a better player and by the time I got to high school, I made the Varsity team as a starter goalie, all in my freshman year.
As a determine persistent individual, I have tried to work myself up to be the best possible person I could be and yet I still aim for more. I constantly look at my achievements and goals, only to want more for myself and the person I am meant to be later on in the future. Having this drive and positive outlook on every choice I make and every action I take is a great characteristic for being a part of a team sport, like soccer, and being a part of something bigger, like collegiate sports. My goals are not only to take on my high school years, but go as far as the college years and in adulthood with soccer. To be a part of something bigger, something more important, and to be recognized as more than "just another goalie" is the person I truly wish to become. Or maybe having a New York Time's best selling novel will help satisfy some of these goals.
