Sabrina Verhey '29 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Sabrina, most people call me B. I've been playing soccer as long as I can remember. 

Before people always asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I always said "I want to be just like my dad!" Now I know I'm never going to be like him because he has taught me to be better than him which is pretty hard to achieve because he's pretty great. I know it's going to be hard work just like getting better at soccer and working hard to be the best that I can be. 

I love soccer because you can learn so much from each other and that's from opponents, teammates, and even coaches but what I love most is the connections, relationships and trust that you build with one another because that can stay with you forever! 

I also love the competitiveness because there are different people and teams you go against and with that comes different levels of gratitude, loyalty, characteristics and the chance/ability to see their love of soccer just as much as your own, and yeah sometimes in a game it can get frustrating but you know you'll always have your teammates there to either cheer you up or just be there for and with you!
