Angelique Hubbard '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Angelique Hubbard, I am 17 years old, 5’2”, 130 lbs, the oldest of 4, and extremely determined to inspire my siblings to follow in my footsteps. I was born in Riverside, California and raised in Kailua, Hawaii up until 7th grade when I moved to Spring, Texas. I’ve experienced a lot in my 17 years of life and through it all I’ve learned how to adapt to my surroundings, become a leader to people who don’t know me well, and build strong relationships in a short amount of time. I realize I’ve joined the recruiting world a little late, due to misinformation, but I refuse to let that keep me from accomplishing my goals to continue to play soccer at a high level at a university I love. I’m really involved at my high school both academically and athletically. I started on junior varsity as 1 of 4 freshmen who made it and played varsity as 1 of 7 juniors who made it. I participated in Best Buddies, Mu Alpha Theta, National Spanish Honor Society, Student Correlate, African American Studies, and Expression through Beats. Along with these clubs I maintained A’s and B’s in 4 AP classes and advanced Pre-Ap Pre Calculus. On top of schoolwork, extra curricular activities, and  both club and varsity soccer I maintained a part time job and weekly volunteering in my church’s children’s ministry along with several events supporting my community. I understand high pressure and accountability and I am able to push through stressful situations. Thank you for taking interest in me and I hope to be a great match for you and you for me as well.
