Hi, I am Kate Peters ’25 and attend the nationally recognized Science & Engineering Magnet, a public school in Dallas, TX. SEM has an AP-focused curriculum. I appreciate the diversity of people and experiences attending public school in a large city like Dallas. I enjoy math and science and am looking for a college known for its strong natural/life science program and a soccer team that is highly competitive and that has a great team culture. On any team I have played on, the bond between teammates has been a key part of our success, and it is important to me that we are there for each other both on and off the field.
On the field, I try to be a versatile player for my coaches, but mostly I play outside defender. Having played all positions since I started playing soccer, I think my strengths include reading the field well, positioning myself, sensing the right timing for passes and location, and using space well depending on the situation.
