Abigail Santos '25 Recruiting Profile

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t playing soccer. I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old. Soon after that I was given the opportunity to start playing club soccer and haven’t stopped. Since I first stepped on the field, I knew that this was the sport for me. Playing soccer at the collegiate level is something that allows me to continue doing the thing that brings me the most joy.

I have a strong soccer IQ, good foot skills, strong physical defense, and a good attitude. I thrive off of constructive criticism because I know it will make me better, making me very coachable. I am a leader in the back line and work to bring my teammates up at every moment.

I play soccer year-round and strive to be a better player every day. I play for the ECNL league for DKSC in Dallas, Texas. I play varsity soccer for my school, Duncanville High School. I have also been given the opportunity to play for the Sub-15 and Sub-17 Mexican Woman's National Team, traveling around the world in an attempt to compete against some of the best teams nationally, and I believe this is truly helped my adaptability, work ethic, and team-oriented mindset make me a valuable asset to any team. I am eager to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to your program and help drive its success.  

Whether it's on the court, field, or track, I am a quick learner and can easily adjust to different game plans and strategies. My determination and competitive spirit drive me to give my best performance in every game and practice

In school, I work very hard to keep good grades and a high GPA. I continuously enroll myself in multiple honors and AP classes to push myself to be the best I can academically. 

I am open to all to all colleges, but ultimately want to find the one that fits me the best. I am looking for a school that is not only going to push me to be a better athlete, but also push me to be a better student and person. I want to set an example to every young athlete to be the best version of themselves.
