Growing up in an athletic family I have loved sports from the beginning and I’ve played almost all of them. I have a brother a year older than me and I’ve always been competing against him, even playing on boys teams with him when younger. I have always been the most athletic kid in my class and was named Miss Seahawk in Middle School, an award given to the top athlete. For years I’ve had success in soccer, track and cross country. But of all the activities I’ve tried, nothing compares to the desire, thrill and love that I have for soccer. When I was just six years old, I joined my first team and have never looked back.
Stepping on the pitch for the first time I knew this would be my lifelong passion. I’m quick, stable, aggressive, coachable, superb passer with a strong foot, and natural leader. Growing up in the Dallas area I face some of the toughest competition in the US. I have always been on one of the top teams in Dallas (current-DKSC ECNL U17, previously with Solar) and with that affiliation comes pride, responsibility, and the need to always work hard. These sports habits follow me into my education as well and when faced with academic challenges, I give my best. I’m a member of National Honors Society and that keeps me active in my community. Freshman year I was named by my peers to the Homecoming Court (one boy & girl per class). As a sophomore, I received the Notable Knights Service Award for my positivity, hard work and being a role-model of behavior in the classroom.
My strong outgoing personality has made mentally tough and a recognized student-athlete at my school. I welcome feedback and direct criticism from coaches to improve myself at every opportunity. With these attributes and upbringing behind me, I see myself playing at the highest level of collegiate soccer and can’t wait to find the right program to be part of.
