Personal Statement

I have worked hard academically as well as athletically at my sport, soccer. I am highly confident when I step on the field due to my preparation, training and dedication. While I believe in myself, I do understand the importance of taking instruction, guidance and feedback to grow as an athlete, teammate and person.

As far as my soccer skills, I can play with both feet and make all the passes. I am proficient on free kicks, corner kicks and penalties as I step into them with confidence. I know how to execute a game plan and how to prepare, but I also feel that I can read the play as it happens and make adjustments and improvisations. I feel I am a well rounded player who understands both the defensive and offensive commitment and teamwork it takes to win. I have a strong work ethic with technical skills as well as athleticism. What sets me apart is my blend of intellect, physicality, pace, and skill. I am always evaluating myself and soliciting opinions in order to make myself better.

Good in tight spaces, and makes good use of moves to beat defenders. Passing - Creates opportunities for teammates with accurate passes. Rarely over or under hits the ball. Tactical Abilities - 95 / 100 Vision - Field vision is very good. Constantly checking over shoulders on and off ball allows for quick decisions. Reading The Game - Does well seeing the first level of pressure and making appropriate decision on the ball. Physical Abilities - 97 / 100 Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two. Strength - Did a good job handling challenges and played well shoulder-to-shoulder. Mental Abilities - 95 / 100 Leadership - Excellent job taking charge and leading the team.
