Hello, my name is Kate Frommert. I have always loved soccer, but my relationship with the sport has had its ups and downs. I believe that comes with playing this sport since before I can remember. Starting at such a young age, my aspirations with soccer were, as I believed, leading me towards greatness. Being the only girl on a team, I had a built up idea of how exceptional I was. However as I grew older and the seasons passed, those aspirations diminished and I started losing my passion for soccer. Because of this, I quit soccer in sixth grade. I focused on other sports such as volleyball and basketball. These were good uses of my athletic ability, yet I always felt a longing towards the sport. In ninth grade I decided to join club soccer again, with the Albion Hurricanes FC. This instantly reconnected me with the sport that I have always loved. Then in eleventh grade, I moved schools, and since the seasons in New York are different from Texas, I had the opportunity to play soccer. It did not take long for me to realize that my true passion truly lies with soccer. Having missed out on this opportunity truly made me regret not having taken advantage of all the soccer playing I've had in my life, yet it also made me appreciate now having the opportunity to play.
