Soccer has been my life for as long as I can remember, and I want to continue my career well past high school. My first goal is to make it to a good, competitive college to help me excel my skills to the next level. I would love to continue playing past college also. I would love to go pro and play in the women’s national league. If playing soccer does not work out for me, I would like to study to be an orthopedic surgeon. Soccer is what is my first love, however if it has to be something else I want to help athletes with injuries learn the in’s and out’s of their injuries and what to deal to deal properly to prevent athletic injuries again during their athletic careers.
I am extremely interested in a school with a competitive soccer program that can help me take my skills to the next level and can also help me refine my current skills. I currently play Varsity for my school team, and play in a very competitive club team. Having an ACL tear during my freshman year has taught me so much about the importance of the small things that are included within playing soccer. Soccer just is not just about kicking, scoring or winning. Soccer is physical talent, but the ACL tear and recovery has taught me that mental toughness, work ethic, and focusing on little things are what also takes an athlete to the next level of play. Soccer is a sport I am very passionate about, so I hope for the opportunity to compete at the next level one day.
I believe that I am a good qualified candidate to play at your school because when I play, it is always about the team. Playing as a team, winning or losing as a team, and learning as a team are all things that I thrive on. I am fast and skilled and take coaching or teammate direction extremely well. I am quick to make adjustments on the field so I can bring the best “ME” to every play. My main position is attacking midfielder, however I have played a variety of other positions.
What makes me different than other players is I put my heart and soul into playing on the field. Soccer is something that I thrive off of. Just being on the field, or kicking around a soccer ball in the house is something that makes my heart so happy. I am a team player, a coachable athlete and the most competitive person you will ever meet. When I step off of the field I can say with my whole heart that I left everything on the field no matter the outcome no matter what the day is.
