I have been playing soccer since I was about 7 years old and fell in love with the sport instantly. I played until I was 13 and walked away to pursue my second love of Equestrian (barrel racing). I decided after being away from the game for 2 years to step back onto the field my freshman year and after the first practice I quickly realized how much I missed the game of soccer. With dedication and hard work I became a starter on varsity and with my Head Coach pushing me everyday I was able to help our team reach our goal of getting to the State Championship during my freshman year. Experiencing that has taught me so much about myself as an athlete and feel my self-motivation and work ethic are just a couple of things that will set me apart from the rest. After having countless talks with my coach and parents the dream of playing Collegiate Soccer is now more then ever a reality and a want for me as an athlete. My goal is to experience the world of a collegiate athlete, people always say that it took tons of hard work but one of the best decisions they ever made.
In college I want to study Health and Wellness because I love knowing what I put into my body and I to be able to help others understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I am also very interested in nursing, specifically in Oncology because my dad passed away from cancer and he would tell me stories about how amazing the nurses were that took care of him from the time he was diagnosed till the time he passed away. The Oncology nurses really take the time to build meaningful relationships with their patients and families throughout the process of treatment. I know that would make him very proud of me to know I was giving families the attention and treatment he received and it would also help me understand the things he went through. Last I want to be the first person in my family to go play at a collegiate level and make my family proud.
