Hello! My name is Isabella Rivera, and I would love to introduce myself to you! I am currently 17 years old, attending William B. Travis High School in Richmond, TX. I also play for Albion Hurricanes FC. I have played soccer since I was 3 years old, moving to competitive elite soccer since I was about 10 years old. I have played varsity soccer since my freshman year, becoming a starter in my freshman year as well. My freshman year, I was voted District Newcomer of the Year along with First team All- District. I have also received Second Team All-District my sophomore year, and All-District Honorable Mention in my junior year.
I am a very good student, and take the term “student-athlete,” very serious. My studies are of the highest priority to me, always wanting to challenge myself with harder classes, knowing that it will benefit me in athletics but in the future as well. Although my major is not 100% decided, I know that I would love to major in Exercise Science or Kinesiology. My dream career would to be an athletic trainer/physical therapist, helping other athletes rebuild themselves to the best of their ability.
I like to surround myself with friends who strive to be great at what they do, but also know how to make great memories. I am involved with numerous clubs at school. I have played the violin since I was in the 6th grade. I was voted Junior Class President, and am currently this years Senior Class President. I am the co-founder of my schools Filipino student association, and a Co-President of the Science National Honor Society. I am also a member of National Honor Society, Music Honor Society, and English Honor Society. I love to be involved with the culture of my school, getting to know more people every day.
I plan to consider colleges that could challenge me in not just my athletics, but my academics as well. I am very passionate about soccer and my studies, I am open to wherever could help me become the best that I can be.
Thank you for your time getting to know me!
Isabella Rivera
