Hello I’m Marlee Steele!!!!
I’m currently in the 9th grade attending William B Travis High School.I been swimming for the past year and I’ve been growing every minute.Swim is something I’m very passionate about.Working hard and proving myself to others my coaches and myself is something I strive to do in my every day practice and also at meets.Ive learned that I’m very good at taking critiques and growing from him and applying them in and out of the pool.I have a positive attitude with my teammates and my coaches I always come in with a smile and leave my stress sadness and anger outside of the pool and just put all of it to working hard in practice. My academics is something that I could do better at but that’s just me pushing myself and wanting to do better.I struggle in 2 of my core classes (Algebra and bio) but I always find a way to raise my grade in someway. In college I would like to major in nursing and get my bachelors or Masters in that pathway. When i Graduate i would like to work as a pediatric Nurse which has always been a dream of mine.Working with kids is something I’m good at...i babysit right now for my parents friends and some neighbors. This year has been a wide awakening for me academically and in the pool... I have one of my worst injuries this year I tore my labrum in my hip but I went through everything i can and pushed to get back in the pool.Im finally in the pool after 5 months of physical therapy and working on pull sets in the pool that my amazing coach has helped me put together.Since I’ve been back in the pool i dropped seconds in all my events because i got my arms stronger from all the pulls which was a weak spot for me,before my injury my legs were always the ones doing all the work. Some Big Aspirations for me is to go to collage on swim scholarship and graduate with my masters or bachelors in nursing.Thank you for taking a quick read.
