My name is Sarah Baugh and I will be a 2023 graduate from The Colony High School. Soccer plays a huge role in our family and my life. I have been playing since I could walk. Some of my greatest memories are watching my mom play and playing against my older sister and her friends. It’s not just a game for me but my passion, my escape, my fun! Soccer has taught me integrity, discipline, adaptability, teamwork, how to overcome adversity and the importance of being a coachable player. These qualities are not just important in sports but in life.
Speaking of life… in college I plan to major in Forensic Science and /or Biochemistry. I have always found criminal investigation and the collecting of scientific evidence fascinating. To know I could possibly provide help and support for a victim’s family by placing a criminal behind bars would give me a feeling of justice. So many cases are left unsolved, and the families are left with no answers. I want to help make a difference and help provide the victim’s family with peace.
God also plays an important part of my life. I go to Him when I’m struggling and when I’m triumphant. He along with my parents have guided me into the person I’m today. Volunteering and attending church camp every year has taught me to be grateful for what I have in life. It’s always important to help others and lift them up. Together we can make the world we live in a better place.
Overall, I consider myself a hard worker, very dedicated person. I’m motivated by challenges, and I can gain personal benefits from new experiences. Some people live their lives without purpose or focus, but I know what my purpose is, and I'm focused on pursuing it.
