Soccer has shaped me in so many ways, it has taught me life lessons and helped me discover myself. I was the first one in my family to play soccer, or any sport honestly. A year ago, during an injury of mine, I lost the confidence I had about my ability to play. This ultimately showed me how much soccer means to me. I travel two and a half hours to Friendswood twice a week for practice and again on weekends for games, my commitment to my team is most important to me. I show up to every practice and game with the mindset to get better. My goals for my future are to continue to maintain my GPA in high school and play soccer at the highest level i can achieve. In college, I would love to excel as much as I do now in high school academic wise.
When on the field or at any soccer function I bring my best, positive attitude. I am determined to make myself better, and will push myself past my limit. I am understanding, coachable, and committed. Losing my confidence was a big obstacle in my soccer path, it took me a while to overcome it but that experience was a turning point in my soccer journey. Without it I would not be half the player I am today. Balancing out of town soccer and academics at a private school has been a challenge, but worth every moment.
