From a very young age soccer has been my passion, and I have aspired to play at the highest level. I have played for Utah Avalanche ECNL for the last 5 years, where I currently serve as co-captain of the 2005 team. Hard work and dedication have gotten me where I am today.
As a versatile and technical player with experience in most positions on the field, including backup keeper, I excel at athleticism, speed, communication, building out of the back, heading, and finishing. My primary position is center back, though I also love playing forward positions such as the 9,7, and 11 as well. I am strong in the air regularly scoring off headers, as well as heading to clear the ball defensively. As a 90 minute player, I consistently win 1 v 1 battles, tackle hard, and am difficult to get behind. I am able to build out of the back, but also move forward quickly with the ball. I have good field awareness and soccer IQ that enable me to create opportunities for my team.
I am a team leader and believe in leading by example and encouragement. In learning to overcome adversity, I have been able to develop mental toughness and compassion for others. I play every game with the same grit whether we are winning or losing.
Away from the field, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I am also involved in volunteer work and help train youth ages 2-12 at SmartSoccer Training. I am a multi-sport athlete, and have the opportunity to play as a starter on Skyline's Varsity Basketball team . Ultimately I would like to attend a college where I am able to continue to push myself academically and athletically.
