Hi, my name is Rylee Brewster. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and love it! I have worked tremendously hard to be the person and player I am today, both on and off the field. When on the field, I love a controlled possession game-using my speed to gain an advantage. I am a very calm player and do not panic on the ball. I try to use every move, run, and touch to improve my team's chance to win. Soccer is a huge part of my life! While I love school, family and friends-soccer continues to be one of the most important things in my life and I don't ever think that will change!
My first year of competition soccer was 2016/17 with Utah Avalanche. I played for Impact Utah 08GB from 2018-2024. I was born in 2009 but have always played a year up with the 08's. My current team is Wasatch GA 09 PO team and we compete in the Girls Academy National League. This team competed in the 2024 GA National Finals and was one of the top 16 GA teams in the country while also winning the 2024 Mountain West Conference regular season title. I was chosen to participate in the GA Talent ID Camp in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the top 30 players in my age group. I was also rostered on an Impact Utah 09 PP team which I played for in the summer of 2022, scoring thirteen goals in three tournaments. I have played all positions but am primarily an outside back/ center back on my Wasatch GA 09 team. I play outside back/center back/forward for my teams and can play any position needed. My teams have played in the Girls Academy, Northwest Conference, Desert Conference, Club v Club, UYSA and many players showcases and other tournaments.
I guess I could try and wow you with more of my statistics, but I would rather tell you about the person and teammate I am. I am a leader on the field and a was a Team Captain chosen by my teammates and coach on my old Impact 08 team. I am an extrovert and introvert; I love being with people and making new and lasting friends. I love public speaking and being in the spotlight but also love seeing people closest to me be in that spotlight and enjoy watching them be successful. I am a very competitive person, a good sport, and a multi-sport athlete, enjoying both soccer and basketball. I am energetic, supportive of friends and teammates and while I love my social life, I put soccer first. I have very high expectations for myself, currently I have a 3.8 GPA. There is nothing more important to me that honoring my commitments and I pride myself on being coachable, taking feedback and improving myself and my game.
If you were to ask me why I love soccer, I would say the thrill of stepping onto the field and beating every player I play against is why I love soccer so much. But in reality, there is so much more I love about the game; the friendships, hard work, coaching, and the teammates and bonds you make with everyone trying to achieve the same goals are what make it so fun! Thank you so much for reading this, my hope is that after reading this, you might understand a little more about the person I am- and how I will fit in with your program.
Thank you for reading this,
Rylee
