My name is Isla Underwood and I am a sophomore at Mt. Abraham Union High School in Bristol, Vermont. My collegiate goals are to continue my education in a medical related field while playing the sport I love. Playing soccer is a year round love of mine. I also run track for my high school in the winter and spring while playing club soccer for Far Post Soccer Club in Vermont. On the pitch, I play forward winger (7 or 11) and sometimes play outside back (2) for my competitive club team. My club team plays in the highest division and age bracket in Vermont. We traveled to Holland and played competitive games there, definitely my current life highlight. I also play for the Vermont ODP team. As a freshman for my highschool team, I started as the attacking midfielder and was the 2nd highest goal scorer. Currently as a sophomore I am the highest goal scorer on my team. I am proud of my work ethic, speed, passing, finishing, and playmaking on the field. Daily, I strive to learn more about the game and increase my vision for playmaking. Other activities I enjoy are skiing and running track. As a freshman on the Indoor and spring track team I qualified for States in 3 events, placing 6th in the 300 meter in indoor track.I challenge myself academically, taking high level courses and have a 4.0 GPA, (unweighted) earning highest honors academically and in work habits. Currently I am the vice president of my class, but acting president. As you can see, I am a strong student and athlete and look forward to contributing academically and athletically in college.
