- Scoring the winning penalty kick to qualify for the Regional Tournament was the highlight of my freshman year of High School. Although the season did have adversities and challenges for both our team and my personal development (losing game after game, not having the strongest team chemistry, or frustration between players.), I believe I grew most as a student-athlete during these low points of the season. These experiences and challenges helped me grow as a team leader and player both on and off the field. I've always aspired to have a positive, open mind, and flexible attitude towards my teammates, coaching staff, and myself. Furthermore, it has helped me focus on performing my best during team practices and games. These experiences have enabled me to excel as a student-athlete capable of competing at the college level.
In eighth grade I unfortunately broke my leg which caused me to put my soccer career on hold. The process of recovery and ultimately getting back to the game, made me realize patience, hard work, and dedication are huge attributes when coming back from a serious injury.
I have acquired many different skills throughout my thirteen years of playing soccer. I have learned the value and importance of teamwork, leadership, and commitment during competition. I am pursuing and attracted to collegiate soccer programs that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I believe having a strong work-ethic, striving to be a team leader and being responsible is just as important off the field as it is on the field. I am confident that I be a strong addition and have an immediate impact on your program.
