Sydney Lewis - 3/...Personal Statement
Verbally committed to McDaniel College. - - My name is Sydney Lewis and I am a Junior at Poquoson High School. I have played club soccer since I was 6 years old. I currently play soccer for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club on the 2001 Girls CCL Team. This year my CCL team placed 1st out of 16 teams in Club Champion League. This past season we went 12-1-1 in league play and placed second in the Virginia State Cup. As a Freshman I scored 22 goals and was named 3A Conference 25 Player of the Year. Sophomore year I scored 14 goals and was selected to 2A Second Team All-Region. My Junior yr. as a forward I scored 21 goals and nine assists and I was selected 2A First Team All-Region and 2A First Team All-State. As a Sophomore and Junior our High School team made it to State Quarter Finals in Region 2A. My GPA is a 4.12 weighted and I have taken the SAT and received a 1250. I am currently Junior Class Vice President, was Captain of the Varsity Soccer team & Basketball team these past seasons, a member of several high school clubs including National Honor Society and volunteer at the local Parish Thrift store.
