Personal Statement

I am a hardworking athlete and student. My passion and love for the game pushes me to be a better player for myself and my team. I maintain a positive attitude and I am always open to feedback. My goal is to play soccer in college and potentially play professionally. I plan to get a degree in nursing and then go on to become a nurse anesthetist. I have consistently been a straight A student and will continue to maintain those grades.

As a freshman, I made the varsity soccer team. I played approximately 50% of the time and contributed 5 goals and 3 assists during the 9-game season. We finished first in our division. I was also on the varsity track and field team as a freshman. I ran the 100m dash, the 4x1 relay and I competed in long jump. I set a PR in long jump.

I am a forward with a lot of speed and the ability to pass accurately and also beat other players in a 1v1. I am accurate in shooting, and I have a good touch, I am able to control the ball well. I always connect with my teammates as well as coaches. I am a team player and a leader that always brings a positive energy. I scored 22 goals and got 7 assists for my club team in 13 games of the 2021-2022 season. I am a well-rounded coachable player with good character, strong athletic ability and leadership skills.

I tore my ACL and meniscus on September 15th, 2022 and had reconstructive surgery on October 25th, 2022. This injury put me out of playing for 10 months. I worked extremely hard during physical therapy and in my own free time to get stronger and healthy. I have successfully returned to playing soccer in July 2023. This experience has taught me so much about myself and about the game. I have learned a lot from watching soccer for 10 months now and I can apply my new knowledge to my skill set on the field.
