Hello, I am Caitlin Sheleski. I have been playing soccer since I have been four years old. When I was younger I tried many additional sports but none of them were like soccer. Soccer is my most prominent passion and what I dedicated most of my free time to. During one game my coach decided to put me on defense and I barely move positions now. I am willing to play any position and while I do love playing center back, center midfield is exhilarating. I simply want to be on the field playing and it does not matter where. Along with that, I love to encourage my teammates. I take initiative with my team to makes sure everyone is doing their part to have a triumphant season. I am incredibly competitive and constantly ready to go. Although my first year of high school soccer I was on JV, (this was my sophomore year because of covid) I learned what it meant to be a team player and make sure everyone was involved. I learned to have more fun and confidence while playing. Also while on JV I primarily played defensive center mid. Looking back I am glad I played JV I grew extensively not solely as a player but as a person too.
I am not only an athlete but a student. I work tenaciously to keep my grades up. I am particularly proud of my accomplishments in my complex classes, such as AP Calculus, AP Physics, and IB English. I truly believe that I am an outstanding student with tremendous motivation. In college, I am looking into majoring in the STEM field. Within this field, I am inspecting a couple of majors. These include but are not limited to Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or some other type of engineering. When I have some time I research majors and careers to get an adequate understanding of what I may want. My favorite subject in school is math, it always has been. I love to be challenged in school. I get bored when I am not. I rather go to AP Calculus class than sit in study hall with no homework. I want to thrive in everything I do and that is why I work so hard for everything.
