I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old, and since then my love and passion for the game has grown. I played for a club team that was 1 hour away from my home town in 2018 and 2019. I realized I wanted a higher level of play and I needed to make a switch in my club training environment. I switched to FC Wisconsin in 2021, which is a 3.5 hour drive one way to practice. I have been playing for FC Wisconsin ECNL since 2021, and plan to play with them during the 2022 fall season. I believe something that sets me apart from others players is my level of commitment to becoming the best possible player that I can. My strengths as a player are 1v1 defending, heading/balls in the air, communicating, tackling, and finding quick passes out of the back line. My goal is to continue playing the game I love beyond my high school years. I spend most of my time playing the center back position, but I am really familiar with outside back, and defensive midfield.
My freshman year of high school was covid-19 so I did not get a soccer season. My sophomore year I was on varsity and started as a center back in every game. I got 2nd-team all conference, which as a defender can be very difficult. My junior season I started every varsity game as a center back, and helped my team get into the state tournament! I got 2nd team all conference again. During that season, I played the challenging high school games, but I also missed games due to playing on the FC WI ECNL SuperCup Spring team. I wanted to do the SuperCup Team and high school because I wanted to keep practicing at a high-level pace and with the intensity of the club environment, while also playing for my hometown and having the goal of the state tournament.
I have been involved in WI ODP program for 4 years. I have been selected to the WI ODP State Team every year. I attended the odp regional ID Event 2022, 2021, and 2019 (2020 was cancelled because of covid-19). I really enjoy meeting new coaches every year, and getting the opportunity to play with the top players in my age group from around the state.
When I am not playing soccer, I love playing with my 2 golden retrievers and going on the boat. I want to study something in the field of psychology or neuroscience. My academic education is very important to me, as I have a 3.97 gpa and I take many AP classes.
