Hi, my name is Melina and I am a junior attending Plymouth High School. I have played soccer all my life. I have love everything about soccer since my first game. The game is truly exhilarating and I have known for quite some time that I want to continue this passion in my life.
This fall season I am playing on the SC Wave GA 06 girls team. During my spring season, I started on my high school varsity team as the only returning attacking mid. I have been working hard to make varsity and I give 110% at all games, practices, and my own training. This high school season we had a younger team and my goal was to be a team leader. For this past high school season, I was awarded first team all conference for midfield. I was also awarded the East Central Conterence Player of the Year and from the award I am on the All State Team as a midfielder. I am determined, very encouraging, and a great team player. I have quick thinking and fast feet. My primary position is attacking midfield but as any player should I can play anywhere.
Besides my club and high school teams I also have been involved in Wisconsin ODP since 2018 and I will be continuing in it as well this year. I have gotten invited to play on the Midwest Regional ODP team for 2006, where we will play in the tournament down in Florida. Two years ago I was invited to play on the Wisconsin International Soccer team to travel to Spain in the summer of 2020 but has been rescheduled to the summer of 2022. During the winter, I also am a tops soccer buddy. I volunteer on Sundays to help teach kids with disabilities how to play soccer.
I finished my freshman year with a 3.9 GPA and my sophomore year with a 3.95. My junior year, I am in three accelerated class, two AP classes, and two college credit classes. I take my academic part of my life very seriously. Soccer is my passion that I want to pursue and I believe that I have what it takes to play at a college that is looking for a determined hard-working player.
