Adelina Waite '27 Recruiting Profile

I am attack-minded, technical, and two-footed. I am also a great teammate, have been told I'm very coachable and strive to be a positive influence both on and off the field. I have loved soccer from age 4, and since I was six I have constantly challenged myself to become a better player, setting up drills at home after academy practice (yes- at age 6!). I love learning from players like Kevin De Bruyne, Lamine Yamal, Florian Wirtz, Thomas Muller, Raphinha, Phil Foden, Jamal Musiala, Pedri, and Lewandowski. When I watch them play, my goal is to understand how their movement, positioning, and awareness allow them to use their strengths and styles to be creative and dangerous. Then I apply this to my style and my game. When playing I try to find the quickest way to score or create a scoring opportunity for a teammate either through passes, movement, positioning, or taking on defenders myself. I also understand that sometimes the best option is the simplest, and will pass and move to recycle the ball and gain control to eventually set up another attack. My dream is to play with players who truly love the game and  want to learn and understand it as much as I do!
