Jessica Cardenas '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m a freshman at Yuma High School (YHS). I enjoy drawing and playing the flute, and I'm a former swimmer for my school's swim team. I would like to attend a university to study forensic science(I'm aiming to join Arizona State University). I first decided to join because I've never had the chance to do competitive swimming, there was a problem though, I didn't know how to swim. Everyone is patient with me and has helped me with my swim journey.   Although I didn't know how to swim, with everyone's help I was able to go from 1 20secs to 57secs. I'm so thankful to my team for having so much patience with me. When my first swim season ended, I realized I had a great time, everyone was so kind, and I'm looking forward to competing next season.
