Abigail Jerome '23 Recruiting Profile

I have loved being in the water for as long as I can remember. I began swimming at 9 years old, and have had a strong passion for the sport ever since. Swimming has contributed to my development and formed the person I am today. I have learned lessons about setbacks, discipline, and the importance of continuous effort and determination. Swimming has made such a significant impact on my life and it is a goal of mine to continue to swim at a collegiate level. 

I see swimming as a team sport - that together you can achieve what you never could alone. I am described as a  positive, happy person who is always smiling.  I am eager to learn, develop, and I am not afraid to try something new. I am driven to accomplish my goals and always aspire to become better. I find joy in helping others succeed and giving back to my community.

In the classroom, I study and work very hard to maintain a 95% (4.0) GPA. I am also involved in my school's LINK leader program, helping new incoming grade 9 students integrate into the school. I challenge myself academically by taking more difficult courses offered. I am looking for a college well suited to who I am and to support my development athletically and academically. I am open to all opportunities.  Above all else, I  aspire to become the best student and athlete I can be, and make a positive impact on the community around me.
