Getting Top 16 for two of my individual events at the Los Angeles 2017 City Finals, was the highlight of my high school career thus far. 2016- 2017 was my freshman year in highschool, and my first year on varsity swim for my high school swim team. My first year on my high school swim team taught me valuable lessons, such as creating short and long term goals for myself, work ethics, and how to be an integral part of a team. My first year allowed me to grow not only as an athlete, but as a person, and I am excited to see what the next few years of high school will bring.
I began swimming competitively when I was about eight years old, and eight years later this sport has become a part of my daily life. Swim has always pushed me to do my best in everything, and school is no exception. Along with swim, I am also a member of various leadership clubs at my school, and I am part of the Humanities Magnet. I believe that there should be a balance between sports and academics, which is why when looking for colleges, I look at those that are a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. As both an athlete and a student, I feel I would be a great contribution to your team!
